The national French canopy formation team has existed since 1982, when the first World Cup took place in Lapalisse (France).
Over the years, the team has represented France in the different disciplines of canopy formation: 8-way speed, 4-way sequential, 4-way rotation and 2-way sequential.
Since 2017, there have been two 2-way sequential teams in the French CReW team.
